Advertising during lockdowns has been nothing short of a challenge for so many marketing departments. Especially anything Out Of Home. Luckily here at Bloon, we came up with Covid Safe measures for operating and working with the UK Civil Aviation Authority rules were able to continue providing aerial advertising services using hot air balloons, airships and helium inflatables.
Our most recent operation with Grenade was in Kent. We teamed up with the guys from Beta Squad to film their main Christmas Special. In this episode, they were to play a giant game of hide and seek with the winners being the last to be found by the SAS team hunting them.
One of the main stars Niko had an idea to escape in a hot air balloon. After many calls to other balloon operators – yes there are others ;-). Their production team were delighted to hear that we were able to provide a balloon for them.

Hot Air Balloons never fail to engage with the public, after all, as Winnie the pooh says “nobody can be uncheered with a balloon”. This is certainly true with hordes of people taking to social media expressing their delight at seeing something different to brighten their day.
